It depends on how much you are transporting and in what kind of vehicle it is to be transported.

your going to have to do some extra research but here’s an idea. I drive truck for a living and using diesel fuel I average about 5 -7 miles per gallon. also depending on what type of food you would be transporting. if the food needs to stay cold/frozen or hot. the trailers will have refrigeration or heating units which also have a fuel tank that keeps the unit running. Thus you would also need the amount of fuel that the reefer(refrigerated trailer) unit uses. Which most likely would be demonstrated on a per hour basis. so good luck

    Too much!
You need to decide how many miles the vehicle will travel, you need to decide how many miles the vehicle can travel on a gallon of gas. Decide if you will be transporting a large amount of food or a small amount to determine what type of vehicle will be used. A car gets maybe 25 miles to the gallon, while a semi may only get 5 miles to the gallon. If you have 100 lbs. of food to transport you would want a car. If you have 10 tons you would want to opt for the semi. From this information you can figure how much it will take to transport the food from point A to point B.
