Absolutely excellent friggin version of the theme. I love the part of the movie when this is playing and you see Deniro looking through the rear view mirror at the girl. Man great theme and mood for that movie.

@marriottmad You could try Bob James (oddly, he did the theme from Taxi … not Taxi Driver).
The sound you are looking for is jazzy, with a Rhodes piano and sax.
Seek out early 70’s jazz fusion sort of stuff.
